You are to create a short 1,000 word illustrated project about your chosen artist, landscape and your own work and developed ideas.
You will have four weeks to complete this project.

Your Project How to relate with own art work?
03/03/08(Monday) Project introduced
Research into different landscape artists to find ONE artist that you and your work can relate to. Look through your own sketchbook work collected from Cornwall trip, compare to artists to gather ideas and influences
Choose ONE artist and collect information and research about them using books and internet
1* Select an artist relate to your OWN ideas and own preferences
Collate information and write into own words understanding ideas behind artist work and relating to own work
- always note where you are gathering ideas/research from for Bibliography and Quoting
Include research, quotes and ideas into your own sketchbook to accompany your own sketches from Cornwall trip
Select appropriate images (of artists work) to comment about and refer own work and ideas to
- always note where you are gathering ideas/research from for titling images You may want to include your own images that are similar to the work/subject matter of the artist you are researching such as sketches, paintings, photographs etc.
Plan and write out notes for your project: using images and information collected as research
Include your own thoughts and ideas about
1. Landscape
2. the artist and their work and
3. your own ideas/ thoughts/ feelings/experiences about Landscape i.e. Cornwall etc
Hand in first draft (written) to be checked to tutors
Make amendments to first draft; improve and adapt ideas Re-read over work and make amendments/notes created by tutor to improve/change project
Present project in appropriate professional manner (i.e. booklet, folder, bound, file, sketchbook, typed, colour images etc
Think about how you want to present the research project (based upon one artist). You will be assessed upon this project and in particular the appropriate presentation chosen by you
